This course, taught by an American Red Cross authorized instructor, will cover Pet First Aid and CPR techniques. The emphasis will be on cats and dogs. Cat and dog manikins will be used. Do not bring your pet to class. The course length is 3 hours. The course fee is $40. It includes course materials, a pet emergency planner and pet emergency stickers. The Dog First Aid book and DVD set and the Cat First Aid book and DVD set are not included in the course fee. The book and DVD sets will be made available for purchase at a cost of $16.95 each.<br />Pre-registration is required. Class sizes are limited. To pre-register, call Tammie Bouschor at (312) 644-8338 ext. 344. The $40 course fee must be made within two weeks after the date of pre-registration. All of the animals up for adoption will have had their first round of vaccines and deworming. Cats will be FeLV/FIV negative. The adoption rate for cats will be $75 dollars for one and $125 for two.
